It is very easy to go on to a website annonymously and make general comments about someone else's thoughts. I realize when these blogs are written it opens us up to ridicule, some deserved and some like the previous "anonymous" post. ANYBODY in the area that has ever observed Ransomed on stage knows of our commitment to ministry. No, we do not travel full time but that does not take away from our ability to minister. The same God who calls the pastor who oversees a flock of 2000 in the big city, also calls the pastor who oversees the flock of 200 in the town of 350. He has given each person (group in this instance) a certain measure of faith and responsibility. It is our responsibility to remain committed to God and the Truth of the Bible as much as we possibly can. When it comes to matters of style there will be all kinds of differences of opinions. However I would like to see groups from this area strive for a little more excellence, including ministry.

Anonymous, I would encourage you to go to other websites where you can read about what took place last Sunday at the (unamed church) and how "everyone" had a generally good time. That is generic and a waste of cyber space. What I propose is that our groups look at things differently from this area. The talent is here in the metroplex and I occassionaly see a group that strives to reach for excellence, but not nearly enough, Ransomed included.

One of the things that I have NOT done, nor will I ever do, is criticize another group's ability to minister as you sir/ma'am have chosen to do.

As anonymous, you are either a)one of these groups who will meticulously and successfully strive for mediocrity, b)from somewhere other than the Texas area (probably got here from averyfineline), or c)most assuredly have absolutely no clue what you yourself are talking about when it comes to Ransomed because you have not seen us.

I have had your blog brought to my attention and I must say you spend alot of time talking about something you know very little about. Obviously you think you do but being involved in Ministry takes a lot of comittment and I fail to see any mention of that in your blogs. What I do see is something that is very disturbing, You spend a lot of time saying nothing. I can't believe people read these things and you can count on one thing I won't be reading any more of them. What a waste of time....

I think you're right. you can't judge other people. We are all sinners, just like Jesus said. However, we are instructed by God to love them and we must pray for them to know the Lord or, in some cases, to return to Him. This was recently pointed out to me from various people. A young woman who used to serve the Lord has compromised the faith and has done a whole lot more than just backslidden. I've known here when we both served the Lord a few years ago. I've backslidden, but have recently renewed my commitment to the Lord. She has compromised since last year, altohough I think she compromised quite a bit before that-she was going to a church that focused more on singing and music, rather than on preaching salvation. I believe that she hates God for allowing something to happen to her years ago. She also hates herself and has addictions to various things that are harmful to her spiritually and physically. I intercede to God for her, and I'm sure some other Christians do, too. She causes me grief, as I am deeply concerned for her. I hope God in His everlasting mercy has her returning to the faith. I would not like it if she died at an early age becasue of her addictions and lifestyle.

Hi guys! Just wanted to drop a note and say, Be blessed and go with God! As for the blog, come on church, it's simply an opinion. Have we all become so critical that we can no longer just talk. There was no malice intended by Lee. This is truly what is wrong in our church's today. I feel sorry for pastors, and as an evangelist, well, to many have compromised for this very reason, the reactions of the church to things that were truly not meant to harm or hurt anyone. But to get them to think, to pray to search their souls and most importantly, have we all forgotten, God's will, not ours! But if we all become so quick to become defensive, how much are we really listening to God and are we truly seeking His will for our lives or...
OURS!
Relax church, and be lead by God not man!

I'm with you, Lee. A lack of quality and a lack of strving for excellence is hurting SG music and a lot of church minstries as well. We serve a great God and should want to do our very best for Him.

Umm...this article could really hurt peoples feelings. Anyway God chose Moses who stuttered. I can almost see your point but then I have to say that its just your opinion of what is GOOD or BAD and some other people may have loved the other group that was singing. That lady that walked out certainly could have caused many tears to fall if that family knew what she said. If I told you that I thought your songs stunk and were not fit to air how would you feel?
